CTK photos

CTK is an editorial photo archive documenting news and daily life in the Czech Republic and the wider Central European region. Its coverage centres on Prague and other Czech cities, taking in public health and medical stories, hospitals and emergency services, government and civic affairs, and the everyday scenes that accompany them. Images are typically reportage in style, produced to accompany wire news copy, and they record both the institutions involved in a story and the people affected by it. Picture editors and publishers use material of this kind to illustrate news articles, current affairs features, explainer pieces and background reporting on Czech society, as well as for retrospective and archival use where an image of an earlier period is needed. Photographs from the CTK collection are available to license through Fast Media for editorial and publishing projects.
