JPG, PNG, WebP · up to 20 files · 10MB each
Output format
Quality80%

80% is visually lossless for most photos. PNG ignores quality (lossless format) — convert to WebP or JPG for the biggest savings.

Downsize

Files are processed on your device and never uploaded. Re-encoding strips EXIF metadata (location, camera info) — a privacy bonus. "To Hub" is the one exception: that click uploads that result to your own Media Hub.

Which format should you use?

The honest answer, in one card each

WebP
Best for: The web

Smallest files at the same visual quality — typically 25–35% smaller than JPG. Supported by every modern browser.

JPG
Best for: Photos everywhere

The universal photo format. Great compression for photographic content; no transparency.

PNG
Best for: Graphics & transparency

Lossless, pixel-perfect, supports transparency. Larger files — use it for logos and UI, not photos.

How it works

Three steps from heavy to light

1

Add your images

Drag and drop up to 20 images at once, paste from the clipboard, or browse. JPG, PNG and WebP up to 10MB each.

2

Pick format & quality

Keep the original format or convert everything to JPG, PNG or WebP. Set the quality and optionally downsize to a maximum dimension.

3

Compress & download

See the before and after size of every file, download them one by one or grab everything as a ZIP.

Everything you need

Built for batches, built for privacy

No daily limits

Popular compressors cap you at 20 files or a handful of tasks per day. Here there are no caps — compress as much as you need.

100% private

Everything runs in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to a server — safe for client work and unreleased material.

Batch + ZIP

Process up to 20 images in one go with live before/after sizes per file, and download the lot as a single ZIP.

Metadata stripped

Re-encoding removes EXIF data — location, camera and device info — from every output file. A privacy bonus by design.

Frequently asked questions

Is this really free?

Yes — completely free with any Fast Media account, including the free tier. No daily task limits, no file-count caps, no watermarks.

How much smaller will my images get?

Photos typically shrink 60–80% at 80% quality with no visible difference. PNG is a lossless format, so its savings come from downsizing — converting PNGs to WebP usually gives the biggest reduction.

Which format should I choose?

WebP gives the smallest files and is supported by every modern browser — best for the web. JPG is the safe universal choice for photos. PNG is for graphics that need transparency or pixel-perfect edges.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Compression happens entirely in your browser using the canvas API — your files never leave your device.

What happens to transparency?

PNG and WebP keep transparency. JPG doesn't support it, so transparent areas are filled white when converting to JPG.

Does it remove EXIF data?

Yes — re-encoding strips all metadata, including GPS location and camera details. If you need to keep EXIF, keep your originals.
